Paper, board and inks

Rightly publishers are demanding that their suppliers source materials from sustainable sources, and Page Bros plays a necessary role in that initiative by holding the following chain-of-custody accreditation:

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) www.fsc-uk.org. A copy of our certificate of accreditation is available on request.

Page Bros is similarly accredited by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) www.pefc.co.uk and, again, a copy of the certificate is available to re-assure you of our commitment.

Both organisations exist to ensure the protection of the world’s forests through sustainable management and to provide assurance to purchasers of timber and timber derivatives. A crucial aspect of that assurance is the system of chain-ofcustody whereby timber products (in this case, paper and board) are tracked from sustainably-managed forests to the end-consumer – ie, those who buy your publications.

We can advise you on FSC/PEFC papers and provide samples, together with advice on how to represent their logos on your printed products.

As far as inks are concerned, we are pleased to confirm that many inks used by Page Bros are vegetable-based.
