Environmental Standards

ISO 14001 is an international standard which requires those who are assessed as meeting its requirements to plan actively, manage, audit and continually improve their environmental management system. The "system" is all those elements of the business which create an impact on the environment such as energy consumption and waste production.

The system must also address in detail the methods by which the organisation understands and meets its legal obligations under a whole raft of environmental legislation from local neighbourhood laws to the control of hazardous waste materials.

In addition to our achievement of ISO14001, Page Bros is recognised by both the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) as having an effective system to guarantee a "Chain of Custody" to promote, purchase and control the supply of products containing paper from FSC/PEFC renewable resources.
